1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They’re widely used to make sites work, to make them work more efficiently, and to provide reporting information. We also treat similar technologies — such as browser localStorage — under the same policy.
2. The cookies we use
Strictly necessary
Required for the site to function. They cannot be disabled in our consent banner because the site won’t work without them.
- dgho_consent_v1(localStorage, ~1 year) — remembers whether you accepted or rejected optional cookies so we don’t show the banner on every page.
- Vercel infrastructure cookies — set by our hosting provider for load-balancing, security and basic request handling.
Optional — only set if you accept
When you click Accept all on the banner, we load Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are useful and to run future measurement or advertising tags we may add. Both are third-party services provided by Google Ireland Limited. They store cookies in your browser and send aggregated usage data to Google.
- Google Tag Manager (container ID
GTM-WQP3F7MB) — a tag-loading container that lets us manage marketing and analytics tags without a code change. GTM itself does not set analytics cookies; the tags inside it may. - Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID
G-9ED92R7YTK) — sets_gaand_ga_<container-id>cookies, typically for up to 2 years. GA4 anonymises IP addresses by default.
We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking or Google Signals on this site. If you reject optional cookies, no analytics or tag-manager scripts are loaded at all.

3. Managing your choices
- Use the cookie banner on your first visit to accept or reject optional cookies.
- To change your choice later, clear the
dgho_consent_v1entry in your browser’s site storage (DevTools → Application → Local Storage). The banner will reappear on your next visit. - You can block or delete cookies directly in your browser. See: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge.
Note: blocking strictly-necessary cookies may break parts of the site, such as the consent banner remembering your choice.
4. Third-party services we embed
- Unsplash images — hot-linked over HTTPS. Unsplash may set technical cookies for image delivery; see their privacy policy.
- Google Fonts — fonts are self-hosted via Next.js at build time, so Google does not receive a request from your browser when you view this site.
5. Changes to this policy
If we add new cookies (for example, when we enable analytics), we will update this page and prompt the banner again so you can review your choice.
